Greener Homes Phase II

February 2010 Phase II of the Greener Homes Scheme is now complete. 40 more householders collected 'FREE' Insulation products via this scheme set up by SCDC and EST with assistance from Greener Fram members and supporter volunteer's helping with deliveries/sorting/collections.  Scout Leader, Tony Campbell, made it all possible with the loan of the Scout Hut on Badingham Road, Framlingham. Although the Pilot scheme that started in Framlingham has now ended the scheme has moved on to benefit householders in other parts of Suffolk. 

What We Hope to Do

Community orchard

We are very interested in creating and running a community orchard and we're in the process of looking for a suitble site.  At present, it's a just a dream, but it's one that could easily become reality.

Talks and Events 2009

We've organised a series of talks and events throughout 2009 to raise awareness of environmental issues that we believe are important to the local community.

Bulk-Buy Solar powered water heating

In partnership with Suffolk Energy Action Link (SEAL) we've organised a bulk-buy solar powered hot water scheme that aims to negotiate a discount for the installation of at least 10 systems.

East Green Energy (www.eastgreenenergy.co.uk) of Kelsale have been chosen as the preferred installer for our bulk buy solar powered water heating project.  So far, from those who requested and received a free, no obligation quote, 7 systems have already been installed.  This project's deadline for quotes giving discounts will end 1st March.

Greener Homes Phase 1

The first phase of the Greener Homes Insulation Scheme run in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust & Suffolk Coastal District Council was completed in October 2009 with 22 householders collecting free insulation products.
